On Tuesday I got to meet up with Lizzie from Mummy in Manolos and Jacqui from Mummy's Little Monkey for dinner and we had such a great time. We were horrible bloggers and didn't take a single picture of the three of us but I think it is kind of nice that we weren't attached to our phones and just enjoyed chatting! I did manage to snag a picture of what I wore in my hotel room mirror.
I had planned to wear super cute shoes but Blondie Boy was up with an ear infection all night the night before and I was so tired I figured flip-flops were a better bet:
Sequin Shouldered Top- Pussycat London
Old Navy The Flirt Jeans
Old Navy Blue Flip Flops
Brag About It Necklace
It was hard to get a photo that showed the sequin detail on the shoulders. I got this top ages ago in the New Look sale and I love how it is the perfect length to wear with jeans or leggings. It seemed the perfect top for a casual dinner with friends and was comfy to fly in as well. Of course when I was at the airport I thought it looked funny and then I realized it was on BACKWARDS. I told you Blondie Boy was up all night but not sure how I managed that one if I'm honest. Oh well. I had on a Brag It necklace with BB's name and birthday but you can't really see it in either photo.

First I didn't wear flip flops to work but the I wasn't going to run around Heathrow in heels if I didn't have to so by the time I took this photo they were off and packed. I was in back to back meetings all day so I didn't grab a photo until I was at Heathrow so I was super cool and took my picture in a bathroom at the airport. Pop-up airport bathroom fashion shows are all the rage, right?
If you can't tell I freaking love my Cynthia Rowley dresses; they are so comfortable and I get compliments every time I wear them which, lets be honest, is a nice thing. We have a wedding this weekend and I'm pretty sure I will wear one of them then too! I may or may not pop in to TK Maxx when I'm going past just to see if there are any different patterns--like I said I freaking love them.
LOVE that last dress!! where is heathrow? sounds like such a whirlwind trip! :) thanks for hosting, girl!
ReplyDeleteLooking good and hope your trip was good. x
ReplyDeleteLove the dress, and the sequins on your top are very cute. Sorry BB was sick :(
ReplyDeleteI love your Cynthia Rowley dresses. Whenever I go into my local TKMaxx they don't have any in my size :(
ReplyDeleteBig fan of Pussycat London, I have lots of dresses by them!! X

I love buying the same thing in different patterns or colors, if it is something I love!!!
ReplyDeleteI love sequins on everything. Going to check out the other blogs...
ReplyDeleteMy link has not been added. Not sure if I did something wrong?
ReplyDeleteI see it now!
ReplyDelete"Pop-up airport bathroom fashion shows are all the rage, right?" LOL! Love your sense of humor :)

I try not to do the bathrooms shots either but, you know, sometimes it's just gotta do! Love the dress.
ReplyDeleteI've definitely done a handful of airport bathroom photo shoots on my work trips - love it!!! Great dress, too :)
ReplyDeleteThere aren't really any other options lol.
ReplyDeleteIt took forever for it to be just me standing there!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks-- I'm glad someone gets it :)
ReplyDeleteGlad it's there! I'm a sucker for anything sequins :)
ReplyDeleteI totally looked on TKMaxx online today to see if I could find more!
ReplyDeleteDude if you see other colours let me know! I'm dying for more!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I got the top at New Look but MEGA on sale :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel! They are so comfortable and flattering and you are looking at £25 investment tops! I've gotten so much wear out of them too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ania! Ugh poor boy woke up saying his ears hurt and he didn't feel well. He's not a complainer so we knew he wasn't well. Finally got his antibiotics (he is allergic to penicillin-- so has to be ordered in) so he's doing better.
ReplyDelete*giggles* Sometimes I too wear something backwards, whether by mean or by accident!
ReplyDeleteI kept looking down and going "hmm my top looks weird" DUH it was backwards. I went and hid under some stairs and turned it around.
ReplyDeleteQuick down and back for work but it was so nice to see Jacqui and Lizzie.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Heathrow is the main airport in London (Heathrow, Gatwick, City, Luton and Stanstead are all the London airports!) and handles the most international passengers of any airport in the world! One of my clients offices is about a 25 minute drive away in Buckinghamshire.
ReplyDeleteLoving the sequin top but that dress is just gorgeous! Such fabulous colours :-)
ReplyDeletethanks for hosting! :) I love participating in these!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress! You look so cute in it!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with switching into flip flops at the airport! I'm guilty of doing that on work trips. I'm sure I look really cool in my suit and flip flops!

So glad to see this linky went live! Just linked up and off to check out other blogs!
ReplyDeleteI think I've only actually missed one week since I started last year!
ReplyDeleteNo one wants to schlep around an airport in heels right? Plus they tell you to take off your shoes on a plane in an emergency anyway so it is just being super prepared :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteTotally loving the sequined shoulder top!
ReplyDeleteLove the sequined shoulder detailing!!! And how fun that you got to meet some fellow bloggers. I'm fairly new to blogging, so I've only been to a few meet-ups, but they were so fun!!! Thanks for hostessing today, Melaina. ~Sarah

ReplyDeleteSo it looks like I didn't sign in with disqus correctly last week - doh! What I meant to say was that I hope you had a great time... love your casual dinner outfit - definitely my kind of style :)
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else totally captivated and mesmerized by the 2012 Olympics? Had to get that out. I love Cynthia Rowley, I was lucky enough to find a few of he pieces at Marshalls here in the states. Super stylish and definitely, comfy!
