I had no idea how I'd never heard of "Gold Label" up until now but OMG I'm so glad I know now. We are talking THE most amazing designers at THE most amazing prices. Some of my favourite designers, we are talking the types of people who show regularly at fashion week, and reduced from over £2,000 to down to £200! Crazy right?

So some of the other finalists and I had a great time looking through dresses and trying different things on. I wish I could have fit in some of the designers but those that did fit weren't flattering or had weird pockets right on the widest part of my body. It was frustrating but it gave me the kick in the ass I need to start eating healthier which is obviously a good thing!

Originally I went for this dress (while being mega jealous of Liz's find by one of my favourite designers) even though I had some concerns about it. After shopping we were treated to a fabulous lunch and had a great time chatting and laughing and if I'm honest talking about body hair far too much. Seriously I had a dream about it that night but I digress. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again at the awards!

I didn't buy any of the above but there were some hot contenders! What did I get? Well you'll just have to wait until the awards! I bought two dresses and am still undecided on which one I will wear. There is still a chance I'll go back to TK Maxx again and try on more. Can you tell I'm incredibly indecisive?
TK Maxx provided my travel and a gift card to purchase an outfit but all opinions are my own!

It is exactly the same! There is a store here called TJ Hughes and they didn't want people to confuse it with that so it is TK instead of TJ :)

ReplyDeleteYou'd love the Gold Label bit! I'm not 100% on your exact location but I *think* the closest one to you is Coney Street in York? Does that sound right? I'd LOVE to go shopping with you! Come to Glasgow we can't be that far ;)
ReplyDeleteI did like that dress but IRL the darts around the tummy were NOT flattering at all. It really emphasised my c-section tummy :(

ReplyDeleteI think the closest Gold Label store to you is Cardiff but I could be wrong! You can buy Gold Label on line, too!

ReplyDeleteDress shopping is really tough for me because I have quite a small waist but I've got big boobs and a butt (not to mention a c-section tummy) so sizes fit me very differently. I still had a great time though!
ReplyDeleteIt motivated me to do what I need to do though. I'm on Day 3 of Weight Watchers and hopefully on a way to a shape/size I'm happier with :)

ReplyDeleteTJ Maxx in the US has a similar section called the Runway where they carry Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Rebecca Taylor, etc. It's pretty awesome.

ReplyDeleteNot a spelling mistake. It is the same store as in the USA but is called TK Maxx in Europe to avoid confusion with a store that has TJ in its name.
