What I Wore Wednesday: Fabulous

I've just gotten in to Ohio from Scotland so apologies if this post makes little to no sense.  I got my passport back on Saturday and booked flights back the same day. After three different delays I'm here! Unfortunately Blondie Boy and NotBlondeHusband couldn't come with me but I'm looking forward to spending time with my family.

A few weeks ago I took part in a photoshoot for Fabulous Magazine for "School Yard Chic" I had two outfits; first an amazing Rebecca Torres dress:

Oasis Black Leather Jacket
Cybher Satchel
Chelsea Skull Scarf
New Look Black Ankle Boots

I loved this body con, colour blocked dress but I think maybe the editors thought it was too dressy for the school run (to be fair the only time I'm not in sweats for the school run is when I have meetings so I am dressed up!) so they went with my second look:

HM Cropped Blazer
New Look Hobo Bag
New Look Ankle Boots

To be fair I wear the hell out of this dress. I freaking love it and have worn it numerous times so it is a fairly good representation of my style.

How cute do my friends Glasgow Mummy & Hayley look, too? We had a fun day (even though it was rainy at first--hence the frizzy hair) playing models and smizing for the day. Although I got a bunch of blank looks when I mentioned booty touching---maybe I need to watch less ANTM!

What do you wear when you take your children to school? Did this post make any sense? I'm pretty sure I've been up for almost 24 hours!

THANK YOU to everyone who nominated me for The Mad Blog Awards as I'm now a finalist for The Best Fashion and Beauty Blog! If you fancy voting for me voting is open now until March 26th! I really do appreciate everyone nominating me and am just stunned to be a finalist again!

  1. Post made sense to me. Love that you had a photo shoot of what you wear to school drop off. I would love to do that at our school. Since I run to work after drop off my outfits tend to be more dressy. Well not dressy. My work is not dressy. It is just work wear. Heels may be involved.

And yes you do wear the heck out of that dress :)

  2. Too bad they didn't use that photo! I am mostly in a dress & heels when I picked up Alexandra from elementary school last year. Looks like a blast with the othe mums!

  3. I totally have to stop myself from "booty touching". I didn't even know I did it until I started taking more photos and I actually took Tyras advice and pulled back and am "semi" happy with my pics now! There is something so uncomfortable about having my picture made. :) I love the 2nd dress btw!!

  15. You mommies are looking fab! I love your second outfit though. Sweet and girly. Ahhh...the mommy duties! I have yet to discover what it would be like taking your kid to school. We're planning on putting our little one on pre-K next year! I'd probably be wearing sweatpants. :) eehhh...
