One of my favourite boards is my "Don't Hate Me Cause I'm Beautiful" Board. First of all I'm not stuck-up I'm just referencing a Kelly LeBrock commercial from the 80's--yes I guess I'm old because no one else remembers! Anyway some of my favourite pins include:
I love my Naked Palette and I love that I can search on Pinterest and find tutorials of how to use it in new ways. This pin in particular tells me exactly which shadow to put where and I don't even need to click through to find out how to do it! Score!
I've had hot rollers for a while but I literally had no idea how to use them. My Mom has SUPER curly hair so funnily enough she didn't teach me how to use hot rollers! I love step-by-step hair for dummies type pins. Foolproof!
Of course I have to keep it real sometimes so of the beauty tutorials are insane! Sweet Brown says it all- Ain't Nobody Got Time for That! Some people have a lot more time on their hands than I ever could for doing my nails lol.
Pinterest is also great for finding new blogs and bloggers so as part of the Pin it Forward campaign I'd like to introduce y'all to Jennifer from Mum of One!
She has so many amazing boards from Cooking Toddler-Style (can you say rainbow candy apples?) to Things I Covet (who wouldn't covet Kate Spade hot pink capped flats?) her Pinterest boards have something for everyone!
Are you on Pinterest? If so leave your link so we can all follow back and if not why not sign-up? It's free and I promise you won't be disappointed. For those on Pinterest what's been your favourite pin find so far?
I'm on pinterest! my username is whoisthatgirlmo. I don't have a favorite pin as of yet since most of them are cool, but I'm always pinning. :-)

Who is that girl Mo?
I'm thankfully avoiding pinterest actually. I'm having enough trouble keeping my blog reading in balance with read life let along pinterest too! I do admit to searching it when I have a clothing item I need inspiration for :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I did before Pinterest. I certainly did not have as many recipes and decorating ideas, that's for sure!

Ummmm.. that nail one is hilarious! Sometimes I see those tutorials and "That looks so cool" then about 5 seconds later I have the same reaction. haha!!

I always have trouble with rollers, I think my hair is too fine! But. Will give this a try!
ReplyDeleteI'm so obsessed with Pinterest lately. With out first on the way I can't stop pinning nursery/baby related items. I have always had a hard time with rollers, might have to try them again

Pinterest is addictive....sorry about posting twice but the "Handbags & Hearts" is a great campaign and wanted to share. Have a fantabulous week!
ReplyDeleteI always go to Pinterest if I need something like from crafting, recipes and almost everything but not that addicted to it yet. lol! My favorite thing to pin would be the terrariums. :)
ReplyDeleteLMAO about the nails...they are cute but seriously that would take me all year!

ReplyDeletePInterest is a serious time suck for me. But I love going in there to pin food I am never going to make or projects that I will never start.

i am on Pinterest, bellslittleones! I'm not an avid user (yet!) but I've pinned a few things, mostly cake haha! I LOVE that eye make-up - i keep meaning to actually learn how to do some proper eye make-up (particularly smoky eyes) but I'm just so lazy when it comes to make-up that I haven't gotten around to it yet!
ReplyDeleteI love Pinterest. I am helping organise friend's wedding this summer and also have my daughter's Christening so it's great for ideas! Shame Pinterest wasn't around when I was getting married!!:)
ReplyDeleteI've just got into Pinterest and love all the style inspiration over there! Not good for my shopping addiction though-those nails have a Missoni feel to them-love!
ReplyDeleteSome great ideas x
ReplyDeleteAhhh Pinterest is my happy place I absolutely love it! Now if only there was a button to click that made all those gorgeous things appear by magic into my wardrobe.....
ReplyDeletePinterest...the one place to spend hours and hours looking at things you will never do.

LOL, I agree with Sweet Brown, too much work, I'll rather go the nail salon and have someone else do it!

Most of the nail tutorials on Pinterest are waaay too much work for any normal person. Also, my nails just aren't that big. I don't think I could get zig zags on them.

I am totally addicted to pinterest. It has led to a lot of questionable hairstyles and dinners. though this past Sunday I made a Low Country Crock Pot Boil I found on the site and it was amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in Pin It Forward! It's great to hear that you have found many inspirations on Pinterest from recipes, beauty, fashion & more! I love your "Don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful" board- The Bubble Necklace is so neat! Lauren, Community Coordinator
ReplyDeleteThanks Lauren! I *love* that necklace too :)
ReplyDeleteI've had a few Pinterest Fails myself; I have a strong feeling the hair bow I pinned will end up a hot mess :)
ReplyDeleteThey are insane right? I tried an ombre tie-dye sort of one that was a huge mess but the polka dot one was actually do-able.
ReplyDeleteI know right? Ain't nobody got time for that!
ReplyDeleteGotta love it :)
ReplyDeleteYou're a girl after my own heart! I think the nail salons here would think I was crazy if I asked for Missoni nails though lol.
ReplyDeleteExactly! I do find a lot of recipes there but I have tons of hair tutorials I've never tried :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be a fab app :)
ReplyDeleteYou know I love me some Pinterest :)
ReplyDeleteI still don't believe anyone actually sat down and gave themselves Missoni nails! It had to have taken hours.
ReplyDeleteI know right! I can only imagine what it would have been like :)
ReplyDeleteI've found some great cake recipes! There are some great smokey eye tutorials if you look at my "Don't Hate Me...." board there are a few. I'm following you now :)
ReplyDeleteIt is great for aspirational living ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is great right?
ReplyDeleteI'd have nailpolish all over me! I tried an ombre nail once and I swear I had more polish on my hands than my fingers :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a great way to store ideas and recipes!
ReplyDeleteSuper addictive! Going to check out your link :)
ReplyDeleteThe roller tutorials actually help! I had no idea what I was doing before and now I have half an idea lol.
ReplyDeleteMy hair is fine too. I've found that clips hold the rollers in better than the metal pins if you know what I mean? I spray with hairspray when the rollers are in and then again after the rollers are out but before I loosen the curls.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because it's true :)
ReplyDeleteFor real me too!
ReplyDeleteI love it for organizing ideas. For me if I want to pick something for dinner I want to see an image of the meal rather than the title if you know what I mean!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you now!
ReplyDeleteI am a huge Pinterest fan as well and it's so nice to see your also doing the Pin it forward campaign (i'm doing my Pin forward post next month) love the nails and hair! Great post

I tend to have my hair up a lot and get bored of the same pony tail so I've been using Pinterest a lot recently to find easy up hair styles, it's fantastic! x
ReplyDeleteI'm so absolutely rubbish at up-dos! I need to practice more I think :)
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my Pin it Forward today! AND I have the same Naked palette ('cept in matt). Woo hoo!!!! xx
ReplyDeleteThe original Naked palette is some matte and some glitter. I think Naked II is all glitter? The tutorials for it are amazing! I will come see your pinteresting post soon!
