NBH's Mom and Grandma stopped by for a chat
and I decided to make some yumminess for the occasion.
We also had a parma ham and cheese round baguette, but since it wasn't homemade I didn't take any photos. Here was the spread:
served with baguette slices and triscuits
(on my Grandma Jane's serving platter,
she got it as a wedding gift and gave it to us as a wedding gift)

Triple layer vanilla buttermilk cake
with chocolate butter cream frosting
(made with my fabulous new Kitchin Aid mixer!)

The cake is so pretty! I'm sure it tasted delicious too.
So, you're happy with the KA? Your treats, and cake look wonderful! I was also reminded that you are the one who loves Parma ham. One day, after the little one arrives, you should all head to Parma :)
Those tomatoes look delicious! What a nice lunch for your family.
Oh this makes me want cake!!!!
