The first thing you should know about Kat from 3 Bedroom Bungalow is she is the reason I don't smell. She very kindly brought me Secret deodorant to CyberMummy (don't get me started on why UK deodorant doesn't work); actually she brought half of the commissary with her to dole out to fellow expats with cravings. She's crazy generous, hilarious and I wish she didn't live on the other side of the UK or I suspect we'd get up to lots of trouble. Blondie Boy watches baseball on TV and says "ball ball" but I often wonder what it will be like when he's old enough to play sports that don't really exist in Scotland. Here Kat talks about her own daughter's perception of baseball.

I ♥ Esteban
Cincinnati's emergency kicker and international soccer fan booted the decisive extra point late in the first half and the Bengals beat the sloppy New England Patriots 7-6 on Thursday night.
'' 'Esteban' Ochocinco is back, the most interesting footballer in the world,'' Ochocinco said. ''Everyone has to remember, I've always said that soccer is my No. 1 sport. I think Ronaldinho would be proud of me right now.''
Ochocinco practices kicking but had never done it in a preseason or regular-season game in his eight years with the Bengals, the first seven as Chad Johnson . But when Shayne Graham 's groin felt sore in pregame warmups, coach Marvin Lewis decided to rest the team's franchise player and see what Ochocinco could do.
He did very well.
After the game, Ochocinco pulled out his PDA and displayed a photo of him with soccer star David Beckham.
''Soccer's my first love, Kicking's easy ... like riding a bike,'' he said. ''I can kick them from 50, 60 yards, left or right hash mark. ... I kicked all through high school.''

Give the bhoys a chance
I decided to play about with my new camera and try the "sports" setting.
My favorite player, Nakamura, left to go play in Spain, so I am currently trying to decide who my new favorite player will be. So far these are the contenders:
Also known as the Holy Goalie, recently did a James Dean-esque photo shoot for a Polish Men's magazine and is an overall bad boy. He's also been accused of drinking and carousing.
The season hasn't started yet so I'm not in a huge rush to commit.

Marat Safin
So yesterday we were watching some sort of tennis and I see this guy who looks dead on McSteamy. He does, right?

Marat Safin is a Russian tennis player apparently known for his fiery temper. I'd never heard of him or his sexiness; NBH says he used be really good, but he had some sort of mental break and is either really good or really crap now.
Dude totally split his racket in two after getting his serve broken and you know me, I love a bad boy.

Let's hear if for the bhoys!
Me: Yes, how did you know?
Cabbie: You're pretty and Celtic fans always have good-looking wives.
Aww bless you cabbie for making me smile! And bless O'Dea and McGeady for leading the hoops to a 2-0 Cup victory over Rangers tonight in overtime.

Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez: Londres
We had a great time wandering about London and an amazing time at the game. Special thanks go out to my good friend Bonnie's mom, who since she got into a suite gave us her tickets which were way better than ours and 20 rows back on the 25 yard line.
NBH's Mom was nice enough not only to babysit Emma, but also to loan us her camera. Here is our weekend in pictures:
Tailgating next to Wembley. There were people in just about every NFL jersey. It was pretty gross and rainy though and the lines for food, drink, face painting were super long.
NBH couldn't find the Pats either so he was an Eagle.
