Who is Sarah Palin?

-She was elected Alaska's governor a little over a year and a half ago. Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town outside Anchorage.

-She has no foreign policy experience.1

-Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.2

-She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000.3

-Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.4

-She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.5

-She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for listing polar bears as an endangered species—she was worried it would interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.6

-How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.7

I'm not saying anything you said is wrong or right, but it might be good in the future to get information from more valid (like not Wikipedia) or less biased (like moveon.org) sources.

Oops...that should say:

less biased (unlike moveon.org)

Or maybe it made more sense the first time. Sorry.

I know you get what I meant.

Hahaha! "According to pdiddy..." I almost spit water out my nose! As did the reference to Passions.

To each their own :)

she's from alaska and according to pdiddy, that's no good. i read that on dlisted. also read that she may have covered up her teenage daughter's pregnancy... can i just say that i absolutely love this rumor? throw in a witch or a vampire, and you have an episode of passions!

sorry to jessiethehappycow, but there are no apologies from me for only getting political news by accident from gossip sites. i'd prefer michael k leave the boring (i.e., political) stuff out and just report on samro and Kate Cruise's rolled jeans, but a story line like that is one that can't go un-made-fun-of.... whether it's true or not.

(sorry didn't mean to delete!)

Well, pdiddy IS wise, and he knows ALL about politics... he has to fly COMMERCIAL now, you know, so he's all about politics and who is going to lower gas prices. So I trust his opinion.*

I need to a) not listen to ryan seacrest and the like and b) ... no nevermind, i will never read less dlisted.

It is like Passions, man I miss that show, especially Timmy. I was once given a martini glass that says “It’s Martimmy time” on it.

I've actually read a lot of those things from other sources, but moveon.org had them all referenced already for me and was the most convenient way to post and copy/paste, rather than create my own footnotes and thus further interrupt the 4 episodes of “Private Practice” I had built up on my DVR; it’s not the best show ever, but it’s better than nothing.

From what I can tell, you don't even NEED the sources, the truth is out there, flying around, on the news, in the papers, all over the internet. It will not be enough for some of the more oblivious and naive folks out there, but then all we can do is hope that the intelligent voters outweigh the stupid ones.
