Embellished Frost Prom Dress- Oasis
First off; yes, I am too lazy to take off my boots and jeans when trying on dresses. There is nothing worse that getting all the way undressed (winter means layers) to try on a dress that doesn't fit. Not only are you defeated but then you still have to get dressed again-not fun.
I love the full skirt and pockets. I'd never normally wear this colour but I like it and it won't clash with NBH and Blondie Boy's kilts but I'm not sure how to style the dress. The wedding is early January so tights of some shade are needed. I'm not normally a fan of nude panty hose but would you wear black? What colour shoes? Do I need a faux fur shrug? So many questions! See I need your help! What would you do?

The dress looks like it already has embellishments around the neck. I wouldn't do the shrug because of that. Wear your hair up with red lipstick. Since it's January, I would go for a sleek leather boot with heels.
I agree with the cropped black cardi and black tights idea. Great idea to consult your fashionista friends for this advice. Love your style :)
I think a faux fur stole would be adorable with that dress. I'd also wear chocolates because I love neutrals and I'm never sure how to style gold/champagne colors, ya know?
Hmmm. I think I might need a poke around TK Maxx tomorrow night.
Lovely dress, Oasis have some really, really lovely stuff in store. I think I'd probably give it a try with black tights and possible some black accessories? It could look really stylish but it depends on the type of wedding I guess.
I absolutely LOVE the dress and I definitely think you could go with black tights. And I agree with Emma, I would go with black accessories too. I love the idea of a fur stole but I think the dress is so gorgeous that it might actually detract from the dress itself. The shape is just perfect on you though!
Gorgeous dress! I'd go with a cropped black cardie (Debenhams have an angora one in the sale - http://tinyurl.com/debenhamscardie). I reckon you could do black opaque or nude coloured hosiery. Not sure if sheer black would look right. Have you got a few pairs already that you could try on with it?
Loving the badge for your What I Wore Wednesday! I <3 Clueless
Thank you! It is really rare I find a dress to fit my waist, bust and butt since I'm pretty hour-glassy.
I have a black cropped cardigan kicking around somewhere! I think a fashion show is in order at some point to see what works!
Cher Horowitz was one of my major fashion icons. I may or may have not worn a mini kilt, cropped polo neck, knee highs and patent leather mary-janes with a mini backpack to school after Clueless came out :)
Wedding itself is very small but up to 100 in the evening. NBH & Blondie Boy will both be in their kilts. I will have to look out some accessories in the sales!
My post is on the wedding I went to this weekend just gone. Having never been to a Winter wedding before I have concluded everyone tended towards glitzier, sparklier outfits. Beautiful dress, I reckon black tights could work but the shoes would need to sparkle. Agree that fur might detract from the sparkle.
I think you need to have a bit of a try on. Black might be ok if you go for a black cropped cardy but main suggestion is you don't wear it with the jeans:)
Little old me thinks that black tights and cardi will make it look like you are trying to make the dress more "casual" and you don't need to..since you are attending a wedding...I woudl go with an nude sheer stocking and nude peep toe pumps..making it ALL about the dress and not about the accessories...with a dress that pretty...it would be ALL about the dress. I would grab a cream colored or tan pashmina to wrap yourself up in for the service/or when you are outdoors and call it a day!!! Happy Wednesday. C
I am going to work on putting something together for you in Polyvore.
I think the dress is beyond Fabulous. Great choice.....
Come back to Little Miss Mama and check out what I put together for you. Ill make sure I send you a message when I am done.

Thanks! Let me know :)
I never wear gold/champagne so I'm totally befuddled!
I think I have a cropped cardi kicking around somewhere...
That is my exact worry about the black tights!
That's a really pretty dress. Love the little jewels
I don't not like belts but I tend to have issues because I have a small waist but booty, lol. Thanks for letting me know about the badge! What colour shoes would you wear?
I think a belt would look great with that dress...but I think I read somewhere that you dont like belts? Oh, and I dont take off my pants and shoes when trying on dress either unless it fits so I can get the full effect lol..I sweat when I go clothes shopping! By the way I have your badge in my linkups page on my page..

I will have it posted on the 23rd in the morning. Come by and have a LOOK http://www.little-miss-mama.blogspot.com
Hope you LOVE it!

Fab vintage style dress so I'd be going for classic sttyling. A knitted shrug/bolero white or cream possibly a strong bold colour such as green especially if you could match with shoes. Nude tights a definate although you could jazz up with seams, prints etc and some simple high heels (slingbacks would be good). Think Grace Kelly cool, classic sophistication. xxx
I'm loving the dress. I'd go with shiny nude colour, but then I like those on my but if your not keen then maybe not. I'd go fake fur shrug too x
Totally went for the palest nude shiny hose I could find!
You are the second person to suggest going vintage. The first said Adele but the same thing really :)
lol, that's my age peeking through ;)
If I were wearing it, I'd be teaming it with black tights, black heels (I have a fab pair of patent round toed heels that I love - very classic) and I think a little fake fur shrug would be perfect. I totally forgot about the blog link up today... will take a photo tomorrow and add my post to the list :-)
