About a month ago my Mom got her dresses for the wedding and the Glasgow reception, but what she was really excited about were her shoes. A gorgeous pair of, Manolo Blahniks; yes Carrie Bradshaw and Co's favorite shoe designer.
Then on Saturday, she fell. How? She's not sure, but she landed on her left side and managed to break her right foot. She's got what's called a Jones fracture, something normally you only see in professional athletes. If you know my Mom, you will understand the irony. So here she is all casted up....you can see her Tiny Tim sized, children's crutches off to the side. She should be out of the cast and into a boot by August, but I think those Manolo's are going to have to be transformed into earrings...
