18 weeks

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.

How your baby's growing: Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and they weighs almost 7 ounces. They're busy flexing their arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead.

Their blood vessels are visible through their thin skin, and their ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from their head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around their nerves, a process that will continue for a year after they're born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
*How far along?: 18 weeks

*Sleep?: Waking up a lot to pee, but otherwise okay
*Best moment this week?: Detailed scan is booked for August 14th!
*Movement?: Flutters and kicks, but not a lot this past week
*Food cravings?: Cherry pie, maybe it's b/c of my ringtone or maybe because of this, who knows, but I bought some at the grocery tonight, yum
*Labor signs?: Nope
*Belly button in or out?: Innie, but I'm going to have to get a plastic pregnancy bar soon
*What I miss: Not coughing; I've had a tickle/cough for over a week

*Milestone: ?Information from BabyCentre and The Bump.
